Sometimes, I really miss our class. We did many activities together, novel project, lecture, saw each blog, did homework and writing in the computer room...... I miss all things. This was a valuable opportunity for us---together ten weeks.

TRY TO WRITE

Maybe, I really enjoy holiday too much. I feel I can not write.

I try to write a paragraph in English. But I feel it is not easy now. In fact, I can not stay in front of table for writing.

I really want to write something.

TO BE OR NOT TO BE, THIS IS A QUESTION

Never believe plans.
In my plan, I would do some reading everyday, magazines or new papers, and do exercise. But in fact, my plan is fallen.
During these two weeks, I always played with my friends and stay at home to read Chinese novels on internet. I never do my plan and continue to study English.
Holiday really can forget everything…….

A2 FINAL EXAM: PRE-DISCUSSION

1.Should government be responsible for keeping consumers safe?


In my opinion, government should be responsible for keeping consumers safe. As the paper “A2 Final Exam: Pre-discussion” says “certain items in the marketplace can be dangerous and are regulated for the common good by the government.

For common good, it needs meet certain safety standards, especially food. Consumer safe is important for consumers. Sometime, consumers are dangerous to buy goods. For example, some automobile's companies want to sell their cars. They give wrong information to consumers. Cars are fast and freedom that make consumers buying the car for unsafe driving.

Many countries have a law for consumers safe. In my country, China has a law for consumers safe and March 15th is consumer’s safe day.



3.Should the business involved be responsible for keeping the consumer safe? What is the goal of business in society?


In my opinion, business should be involved responsible for keeping the consumer safe. Business must meet a goal in society that is not only for money.

In the past, some businesses want to sell their goods for money. They give wrong message to consumers. Fox example, cigarettes can make people comfortable; cars can move fast without rules; and color lollipops can give children different feeling. In fact, cigarettes are one of sources for lung cancer; many people die on car accidents every year; and pigment can harm children’s growth.

However, at present, business changes their goals. They are not only for money, but also consumer safe. Companies make “harmfulness for health” on cigarette boxes. Car’s qualities are quiet and comfortable seats. Lollipops are less sugar and without pigment. But businesses can not stop their production. They just change their ideas to show that goods are good for consumers. And consumers believe those goods are better than before.

Research Paper:

1. Do you think your writing has improved overall by doing this paper? Explain.
For the paper, I think I really improved my writing. This is my first time to write several pages in English. At beginning, I did not know how I can write even I had many information. After, I write ideas one by one; that make me feel better with paper. But some ideas still make me to stop two days. I feel, writing in English, it is not really difficult. You have enough information and organization well, you can write every thing you want.


2. What are some of the skills you improved in while doing the paper?Actually, my grammar is not good. So when I wrote I avoid using “have + v-ed”, because I did not know how to use. But when I finished my paper, I know this grammar. I used this grammar. Of course, teachers helped me to understand better.
In addition, I learn how to paraphrase, source and reference. Sometimes, I did not know how to use own words to write. Paraphrase is really helpful. When I wrote I always forget to put source. I did not pay attention on source. I was not use to put source. But now, I always put source when I copy from somewhere, even in Chinese.


3. How do you feel about your paper?
Maybe my paper is not perfect, but it is great. I did my best on the paper. When the paper was finished, I felt a new baby born. I am so proud of my paper.



Presentations:

1. Did you enjoy listening to the presentations?
Yes, a lot. I really enjoy listening to my classmates’ presentations. They were fun. I can learn and review some knowledge form classmates’ presentations. For example, I never knew medical topics. But I learn some medical topics from Alina, Hajj and Khuloud. Alice’s topic, I already knew it; it still make interesting for me.


2. What did you learn about presentation techniques while listening to them?
When I listening to presentations, I was thinking what I can do and pay attention on when I do my presentation. I am the last four to did, which made me think too much, such as, language, thesis, introduction, topics and questions.


3. What did you learn during the process of preparing for your presentations? Nervous, it was really nervous. I saw many presentation, they were so wonderful. I feel I can not look like them. So when my classmates did their presentations, I felt nervous on the seat.


4. Were you satisfied with you own presentation?
Yes, I satisfied with my presentation. Usually, I feel nothing during own presentation. But this time, I really felt better than before. I could feel I am not nervous during the presentation, maybe, I was really nervous sever days. And my speaking also was not too bad, I felt.

very very very bad news

Today, I got a very bad news. My visa lost 635.99 USD. T_T I really want to cry. Crying, 5555555555………….. I do not know what happed.

I called Paypal, I hope they can solve this problem. I really did not use that money. I need to wait 10 workdays…..

Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End

Many people said continuations are not good than the first. For Pirates of the Caribbean, I think At World's End is a good movie.

I am interested this movie. Johnny Depp plays this movie very well. I like Jack; his words and deeds are funny. In addition, a Chinese actor, Chow Yun-Fat, is in the movie. I like his movies. His gambling movies are collected by many people. He is a good actor.

I think this movie is legend. Many things can not be explained, such as Miss Fish (maybe), reverse world, Octopusman and his heart. Some parts of movie I can not understand, but it does not matter to watch. I feel sad that Will and Elizabeth can not together. They can meet each other, but not every day.

I think this movie will have continuation. Because Jack wants have a boat; he will go to Brazil. But I do not the continuation whether has Will and Elizabeth…..

IMPROVING ACADEMIC PERFORMANCE

This article is very useful for new and old university or college students, I think. It gives some methods to improve studying. Students need plan a schedule for their studying. Some students do not have a good study habits; they study at home but it is not useful and they usually sleep at midnight. Time management is first course for fresh men. Reading is important for students. University or college students have many books and articles to read. Sometime, you do not have enough time to read all. The article gives five steps to improve reading: survey, question, read, recite and review. The article also mentions lectures and memory principles, and researchers show there are important to students. Finally, do not forgive good sleep.

SHREK THE THIRD

I like Shrek because of that cat. He is so cute when he puts down his hat and uses his eyes to look at you.
Shrek mixes many cartoons; you can find Cinderella, Snow White and Aurora (Sleeping Beauty) in the movie. I think Shrek movie look like our life. At first, People meet together and are falling love with each other. Then, they want to marriage, so they go to visit each side parents. Finally, they are happy with health marriage, but new family members, babies, make them worry about future life. The Shrek movies follow these three steps. And also, it stereotypes to teach people that infirm person can become a powerful man.

REFLECTION OF LECTERN

It is my first time to listen lectern by myself. I have different feelings with other lecterns which are pushed by teachers. First, this lectern’s topic was chosen by me. I can choose any topic which I like. Second, speaks who are in the lectern are profession on their project. They are so professional, so I can not understand all. The same thing is that I was sleeping during the lectern. Lectern is easy to make me sleep. I just hear at beginning and ending of lectern.

I chose this topic lectern, because in my county, China, has a large dam. It is also debated in China. So I want to give some information about dams, maybe they would talk about my country’s dam. Actually, this lectern talked about environment and finance between bad dams and good dams. From this lectern, I know why my country’s dam is a big debated, because of environmental damage.

Questions time make me excited, I want to ask some questions, but I can not. I do not know what kind of questions I can ask. I do not want to other people feel I am stupid. Maybe, next time, I can have enough knowledge to ask questions.

I believe mirror neurons can change people’s character. People can learn from others and copy from others. Sometime, they cope others’ behavior becomes own behavior. So some doctors suggest that different character children need play together. Children can mix each other and improve their own abilities. Such as, some children who are depression can play with happy children. Then the sad children can become happy children.

IQ TEXT

I remember I took IQ text twice when I was little girl. I can remember the first one in which I took it before the elementary school. I can not remember the second one, but I have the consequence at home for the second. I remember the IQ text was funny. I just needed answer some questions (I can not remember what questions are) and drew some pictures. I was enjoyed on IQ text.

But I took the IQ text is not for funny.-_- I was in trouble when I was born. All the doctors thought I can not live longer, moreover if I am alive my IQ is lower. >_< So my aunt, who is a doctor on Medical ultrasonography, sent me to do the IQ text. But my family did not do some activities to develop my brain, they just saw I am a common person and relaxed.

POPULATION POST DISCUSSION

In my opinion, I think the world’s population will down in future. First, at present, people’s lifestyle is changed. Women are outside home to have a job. They try to do diffident in their life and tend to have their own careers. So most of them do not want to get babies early or do not want to have one more babies. Second, the couples want to enjoin their time with each other. They want to feel freedom when they come back home and go to work. So that is easy for some couples do not have a baby. Finally, the baby boom was happened in 1970s. When this century is finished, our generation will be done. So the global population will be down.

But global population is growing quickly and continuing to grow at present. Population growth is not averagely in the world. There are tow third population in developing countries. Environment is destroyed by population growth. People need land for living; people need food; people need clothes; people need industries; people need throw garbage and so on. Environment is pollution every day that can make our lands is no longer to live. Maybe, people can improve environment, but it is based on lower population growth.

Governments need some policies to control population growth, not wars. The example is China’s one-child policy. Every family just can have one child that can reduce birth rate. Some policies are in Africa, such as family planning. That also can reduce birth rate and improve people’s life. Maybe, governments can encourage some couples who have few children and get children late. That is a good idea, is that? ^^

SPIDERMAN 3

Spiderman 3 is interesting for me. The big reason is a black Spiderman in the movie. At first, I thinked that Black Spiderman is Peter's friends, but it is himslft. That is so suprise. I think Spiderman 3 is a good movie, but the most interesting me is a writer in the movie: James Franco. I like his smile, so I think he is handsome ^^

1．My father-side grandparents have four children, and my mother-side grandparents have five children. But my parents just have one child, me. I want to have two children, because one child is alone.

2．My country’s population is 1.3 billion. That is the largest country for population. We need build a lot of building and find some places for people living and grow a lot of crops for people eating.

4．There are several factors for population of animal species controlling or regulating. First, human population is growing quickly. Human beings need living space. So people push wild place far away to build villages and towns. Animal species do not have enough spaces and food for survival. Another factor is killing by human beings. Today, a lot of animals are the biggest enemy is human beings, not their natural enemy. People kill animals for their personal satisfaction. Such as using animal skins to make nice clothes.

5．I think governments should control population growth, but it depends on that country’s situation. For example, my country, China, is the largest population in the world. Before, my country’s policy was only-child in each family. Because many people was born in 19th and 20th century. The governments need control population to grow. The over population can affect economy and environment going down. But, a lot of people, who were born in 19th and 20th century, will die in 21st century. At that time, China population will be decline. The population decline can reduce economy development and lack resource of manpower. So my country, China, has a new policy: two children in a family when the couples are both only-child.

IQ TEXT

IQ text is very interesting for some people. They do this text for funny or want to know their IQ is higher than other people. IQ text is not found at present. It has a long history, different type’s text, and some problems with texts, and also culture is one of effects for IQ text.

There are several problems for IQ text. IQ text does not adapt to every person. Some people are good at memory; some people are good at logic. They can not use same IQ text. The other problem is cultures. Cultures make people in different environments for thinking. Finally, not every person wants to take IQ text. They do not want to show their personality to other people.

Tyrannosaurs.......>_< I really can not pronounce this word, difficult for me. I always see T.rex in movies. In the movies, T.rex plays a important role, a hunter. I am really scared T.rex. Its face is uglily and monstrous. Its teeth are thin and acuate. Sometimes, a part of other animals' body is in its mouth with bleeding. (trembling~~~~~) So, in the movies, T.rex always scare audiences. In Chinese, Tyrannosaurs are called "BaWang Long". BaWang means overlord. That means T.rex is king of the danosaurs. But, people use 'Ba Wang Long' for chat-name, game role's name or brand's name, because they think this name is so cool.

HAPPINESS

Happiness is feeling for people’s emotional or affective state that makes people enjoyment and satisfaction. Different people have different happiness levels. Some people are very easy to feel happiness, even very small things, such as a morning call, the traffic light turning, coming school early or sleep early. Some people are difficult to feel happiness. This does not mean they are unhappiness. They just feel happy in different ways, or they are high level for happiness. Maybe, they are happy on a rich class, becoming a boss or breaking glasses. Happiness is fortunate and convenient around our life.

HAPPY DAY ON MY BLOG

Now, I am so excited, because I can sign in my blog. HA HA HA .... ^0^ Before today, I never signed in my blog on my computer. I tried many times; it was still unsuccss. But, now, I find a new way to sign in. When the main page is opened, I need point "sign in to old blogger" quickly where is on the top of main page. After, on old blogger's page, I point "sign in here" to change to new blogger. Then, I can sign on my computer. ^^ But, if I do not do this way, I still can not sign in my blog on my computer>_<. My computer is troublemaker.

BANKRUPTCY MAY NOT SAVE HOMES

Many financially stretched borrowers can not save their home frome foreclosure; they are declaring bankruptcy. They need pay their credit-cards and other debts and monthly mortgage payments. They want to catch up with the mortgage payments and repay other bills. But the softening off foreclosure prices are difficult for them to sell their homes to repay debts.

The bankruptcy law passed in 2005 in the U.S.; it can enable indeividual filers to wipe away debts. Banks also can help delimquent borrrowers avoid foreclosures. Borrowers can find a way out that donot need repossess and sell their homes. They also can choose to pay off the arrears of an agreedupon payment plan or to sell a home to avoid foreclosure and to protect credit ratings. Lenders and servicers also can get helping for borrow.

However, in my opinion, some of borrowers still can not get helping; servicers of borrowers can not force on all the borrowers. Companies also lose a lot money from borrowers because they can not pay their mortgages. That is not good for companies to develop. Goverments should find currect solution to help borrowers to avoid foreclosure.

SKYSCRAPER

Skyscraper is a very tall building. There are many skyscrapers all over the world. Some coutries like to build skyscraper, because of rising, chanllege and to show coutries' techology is better than other countries. In my opinion, I like skyscrapers. I think it is so cool to live in skyscrapers. Usually, skyscrapers are base on 50-story. It is like live in sky. When poeple stand on the top of skyscraper, you will be feel you are the boss; everything is under your feet. Skyscrapers are very beautiful. It use a lot of glasses to build. They can reflect sunlight to give people different vision. At night, skyscrapers have many different colors of light. The glass also can reflect those light to other places, even far away. Now, maybe, I need save money for buying a home on the top of skyscraper. ^^

I would like skyscrapers in my country, China. My country is a development country. Skyscrapers can show my country's technology is not less than developed countries. Our society and economy are good.

I had been a skyscraper in Shanghai in China. It is Jin Mao Tower. Jin Mao Tower is in the center of the Lujiazui Finance and Trade Zone, Shanghai Pudong New Area. It has 88 stories, 420.5 meters high with a total construction area of 290000 square meters. Jin Mao Tower is the highest building in China now. It has many services, such as, business, hotel, conference exhibition, shopping and recreation. The 88th floor is opened for tourists. Tourists can see all Shanghai on the 88th floor. That is very beautiful building. ^^

TROUBLEMAKER

My computer is a troublemaker.

I felt uncomfortable with my computer during the holiday. I do not what is problm with it, always restart again and again. So, I set up my computer three times. T-T Unfortunately, I lose everything in my Disk C, even my homework. I like put to homework on desktop; that is eary to check and review. But, I always forget to save some information on Disk C. That is not first time.
