IMPROVING ACADEMIC PERFORMANCE

This article is very useful for new and old university or college students, I think. It gives some methods to improve studying. Students need plan a schedule for their studying. Some students do not have a good study habits; they study at home but it is not useful and they usually sleep at midnight. Time management is first course for fresh men. Reading is important for students. University or college students have many books and articles to read. Sometime, you do not have enough time to read all. The article gives five steps to improve reading: survey, question, read, recite and review. The article also mentions lectures and memory principles, and researchers show there are important to students. Finally, do not forgive good sleep.

SHREK THE THIRD

I like Shrek because of that cat. He is so cute when he puts down his hat and uses his eyes to look at you.
Shrek mixes many cartoons; you can find Cinderella, Snow White and Aurora (Sleeping Beauty) in the movie. I think Shrek movie look like our life. At first, People meet together and are falling love with each other. Then, they want to marriage, so they go to visit each side parents. Finally, they are happy with health marriage, but new family members, babies, make them worry about future life. The Shrek movies follow these three steps. And also, it stereotypes to teach people that infirm person can become a powerful man.

REFLECTION OF LECTERN

It is my first time to listen lectern by myself. I have different feelings with other lecterns which are pushed by teachers. First, this lectern’s topic was chosen by me. I can choose any topic which I like. Second, speaks who are in the lectern are profession on their project. They are so professional, so I can not understand all. The same thing is that I was sleeping during the lectern. Lectern is easy to make me sleep. I just hear at beginning and ending of lectern.

I chose this topic lectern, because in my county, China, has a large dam. It is also debated in China. So I want to give some information about dams, maybe they would talk about my country’s dam. Actually, this lectern talked about environment and finance between bad dams and good dams. From this lectern, I know why my country’s dam is a big debated, because of environmental damage.

Questions time make me excited, I want to ask some questions, but I can not. I do not know what kind of questions I can ask. I do not want to other people feel I am stupid. Maybe, next time, I can have enough knowledge to ask questions.

I believe mirror neurons can change people’s character. People can learn from others and copy from others. Sometime, they cope others’ behavior becomes own behavior. So some doctors suggest that different character children need play together. Children can mix each other and improve their own abilities. Such as, some children who are depression can play with happy children. Then the sad children can become happy children.

IQ TEXT

I remember I took IQ text twice when I was little girl. I can remember the first one in which I took it before the elementary school. I can not remember the second one, but I have the consequence at home for the second. I remember the IQ text was funny. I just needed answer some questions (I can not remember what questions are) and drew some pictures. I was enjoyed on IQ text.

But I took the IQ text is not for funny.-_- I was in trouble when I was born. All the doctors thought I can not live longer, moreover if I am alive my IQ is lower. >_< So my aunt, who is a doctor on Medical ultrasonography, sent me to do the IQ text. But my family did not do some activities to develop my brain, they just saw I am a common person and relaxed.

POPULATION POST DISCUSSION

In my opinion, I think the world’s population will down in future. First, at present, people’s lifestyle is changed. Women are outside home to have a job. They try to do diffident in their life and tend to have their own careers. So most of them do not want to get babies early or do not want to have one more babies. Second, the couples want to enjoin their time with each other. They want to feel freedom when they come back home and go to work. So that is easy for some couples do not have a baby. Finally, the baby boom was happened in 1970s. When this century is finished, our generation will be done. So the global population will be down.

But global population is growing quickly and continuing to grow at present. Population growth is not averagely in the world. There are tow third population in developing countries. Environment is destroyed by population growth. People need land for living; people need food; people need clothes; people need industries; people need throw garbage and so on. Environment is pollution every day that can make our lands is no longer to live. Maybe, people can improve environment, but it is based on lower population growth.

Governments need some policies to control population growth, not wars. The example is China’s one-child policy. Every family just can have one child that can reduce birth rate. Some policies are in Africa, such as family planning. That also can reduce birth rate and improve people’s life. Maybe, governments can encourage some couples who have few children and get children late. That is a good idea, is that? ^^

SPIDERMAN 3

Spiderman 3 is interesting for me. The big reason is a black Spiderman in the movie. At first, I thinked that Black Spiderman is Peter's friends, but it is himslft. That is so suprise. I think Spiderman 3 is a good movie, but the most interesting me is a writer in the movie: James Franco. I like his smile, so I think he is handsome ^^
